In this class series instructions will be given for the Nourishing Woman Qi Gong form. This powerful seated form uses simple movements and powerful visualizations to nourish, tonify and provide a deep strengthening for the female body and pro-creative organs. This form can provide great benefit to women regardless of age or lifecycle time period they are in.

The season spring is correlated with the element wood and the liver energetic system. Nourishing Woman Qi Gong invites direct access to the liver energetic system as the Keeper of the Blood and the amazing detoxification available from exploring the deep harmony within. This form works strongly with nourishing a woman’s supreme yin and yang energy to reestablish emotional and energetic well being.

The second of a pair of Venus transits (between the Earth and the Sun) occurs on June 5th or 6th,  depending on where you are in the world. There won’t be another pair of transits until the year 2125. Many cosmologies point to big energetic shifts for our Gaian Web of Life in the year 2012. Some of these cosmologies speak of ‘entering the world of the 5th Sun.’ This event will be going on concurrently with other global events choosing a paradigm of peace. Peace within and peace without/with all others.

We will spend some time in gentle contemplative sitting, do some simple Qi Gong movements and choose to align our heartminds to the New World Sun within. You can come and go during this event or stay the entire time. No prior sitting meditation or Qi Gong experience is required.

Sheri's ongoing all-levels hatha yoga classes are inspired by her 20 years experience in the Feldenkrais Method®. She directs students' attention to their own sensations, helping them to look for ways of moving that are comfortable and pleasurable, even when the poses are strenuous or challenging. She guides students to connect their yoga practices to their lives outside the studio by turning their attention inward toward their best intentions. Classes include longer-held asana (poses), some flow sequences, pranayama (breathing practice), and meditation.
