About the Feldenkrais Method® The Feldenkrais Method was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais (1904 - 1984) in the 1940's and has been practiced worldwide for the last 40 years. Dr. Feldenkrais, a Russian-born physicist, mechanical engineer, martial artist and educator, based his work on principles of physics, biomechanics and an empirical understanding of learning and human development. He created over one thousand group Awareness Through Movement lessons and then later developed Functional Integration®, his unique approach to individual, hands-on lessons. |
